Crane challenge

Our class had some more visitors this week - engineers from Cardiff Bay! Dosbarth Llew were set the challenge of making a super strong structure using tubes of paper, nuts and bolts. One group managed to engineer a frame that held over 1kg in weight - da iawn! They have learnt recently in design and technology lessons that triangles make stronger shapes than squares and they put this knowledge to the test to good effect. Well done to you all. (nb. some pupils missed this activity because they were playing hockey for the school - but I know they represented the school very well too - great news!)
